The environment around us can and does affect our physical and mental well-being. The food we eat, the people we are around, the energy that we put out and take in. Everything. Today we often find ourselves with one malady or another and quickly reach for some pharmaceutical concoction, but what if there was an alternative? A more natural approach. This is where Reiki comes into the picture. Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being. This week on The Malliard Report, Jim welcomes Reiki expert Amy Berg.
“Amy Berg RM, IETM, LMT is a Master-Instructor in both White Light Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy as well as an LMT in New Jersey. Amy’s own healing journey began after searching for assistance with migraine headaches, stress, and back pain. Amy worked in corporate customer service, accounting, and management for years and was looking for a way to facilitate her work-life balance. It was at this point that she was introduced to the benefits of White Light Reiki. As a Master-Instructor, Amy used her corporate skills to excel in empowering others to achieve their own goals and find balance on their own journeys. Amy started her private White Light Reiki hands-on healing practice in 1998 and offered treatments at a popular local health spa to clients for relaxation. She then offered treatments as an integral part of care plans at an outpatient mental health center in East Brunswick, NJ. In 2000, she expanded her outreach offering three years of very well-received White Light Reiki Certification courses at Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ.”
Amy is a passionate leader in her field and it shows in the way that she talks and interacts with her patients.
