West Virginia Paranormal Investigations was founded in 2007 by cousins Jonathan Johnson and Richard Riley as a way to further understand the world of ghosts, hauntings, and the paranormal. Both of us have had a lifelong interest in the paranormal, but had never discussed the subject with one another. However, when the subject was broached it didn’t take long for us to decide that starting a paranormal investigating group was the way to go. The group was founded to better understand these phenomena. Members of W.V.P.I. understand that a majority of paranormal claims can be explained away by simple everyday explanations, but we also understand that some things are truly unexplainable, which leads us to our motto “Striving the Explain the Unexplained.” West Virginia Paranormal Investigations has investigated everything from historical landmarks like the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum to one room school houses (and yes we have done both). We investigate the paranormal because we are fascinated by and truly enjoy it. We hope you take the time to look around the site and if you have any questions about ghosts in general don’t hesitate to contact us.
