Podcasting is an interesting game to be in. It has been shared before that the work that is required is substantial to say the least. Between the time put into researching, background work, technical workings, and marketing yourself, you already find yourself stretched incredibly thin. Then throw in the actual show prep, and then the recording the episode, it takes a toll on a person. Especially if this is something that is done on the side of a normal life. Sometimes one may need to just step away to recollect themselves and come back even better to the fight. This week’s guest on The Malliard Report can attest to this scenario.
This week Jim welcomes Mark Salter to the show to share his favorite elements of podcasting, and why he decided to step away for a period of time. Mark is host of Salty Talk radio, Florida resident and resenter of the Florida Man trope, and sustainable farming enthusiast. A titan in the tee box, and a veteran behind the mic; Mark shares his thoughts on the intermingling of sports and politics, why he’s stepping away from podcasting, flips the questions onto Jim, and decided who his dream guest would be.
Mark’s podcast can be found through all podcasting applications (even the newly named podcasting apps) under the title Salty Talk Radio and are definitely worth a listen.
