Jim features a guest that you may not have heard of, but you certainly have heard. The six-string slinger of Savage Garden, Tal Bachman, Lifehouse, and Elvis Monroe, songwriter, and producer Ben Carey. Ben joins the show today to discuss life as a touring musician, the struggles of the lockdown environment, and his experience during the infamous Route 91 incident.
We have the special treat of a double guest show that features Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch. However, they are not here to discuss what made Lincoln or Washington great (which they still so a little bit anyway) but rather to bring to light a forgotten tidbit of history. We all know the unfortunate demise that Lincoln met through the assassination at Ford’s theatre but this was not the first attempt on his life.
Jim welcomes co-directors Jon du Toit and Scooter Downey to the show to discuss their inspirations behind the film, how they got into the industry, the non-deniable godfather of the “truther” movement, and how different players within industries use questionable tactics in silencing any view that may happen to go against the narrative.
Jim welcomes Jude Morrow. Jude is a traveling speaker and noted author that was diagnosed with ASD early in his life. Unable to speak well in his younger years, Jude found solace in books and reading. Knowing that he felt “different” he would often do his best to hide his Autism out of shame but now is very proud and open of the challenges that he has overcome, and loves to share his experiences.
