Steel Town Paranormal attempts, through our investigative efforts, to shed light on questions that we have all pondered at one time or another. Questions about what happens to us when we pass from our earthly existence. Questions that may creep into our heads after watching a scary movie or hearing a strange sound while lying in bed. What happens when we die? What are ghosts and do they really exist? Should I be frightened of those things that go “bump” in the night? Answering these questions completely, at least in this lifetime, is likely an impossible task. Only one thing is certain about the next realm…nothing is certain. We here at Steel Town Paranormal know we will never find “the answer”. What we do hope to gain, however, is a better understanding of what ghosts and spirits are and what relationship they have to our lives as human beings. We also want to assist others in understanding and coping with personal experiences that they may be having in their home or place of business by offering our investigation services free of charge.

Steel Town Paranormal was founded in February 2009 by Melanie and Christopher Durish and is located in southwestern Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. Steel Town Paranormal is a group of individuals from different social and religious backgrounds dedicated to the capture, documentation, and research of potential evidence of the paranormal. In July 2011, Steel Town Paranormal was featured on the Travel Channel’s hit series PARANORMAL CHALLENGE, created and hosted by Zak Bagans from Ghost Adventures. We were also featured in a segment of Biography Channel’s MY GHOST STORY in October 2012.

Steel Town Paranormal would like to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 2012 STEEL TOWN SPIRIT SYMPOSIUM, Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 3pm-9pm. This event will be anything but your typical paranormal conference. Enjoy a premium buffet dinner, cash bar, awesome prize giveaways, and presentations from five of the paranormal field’s most recognized and respected names: David Schrader, David Rountree, Tracy Ray, Patty Wilson, and Scott Crownover. Meet and mingle with fellow paranormal enthusiasts and featured speakers. All of this with a bit of an upscale twist (business casual attire suggested). Tickets for this event are $50 and are ADVANCED PURCHASE ONLY (no tickets will be available at the door). A very limited number of Premium tickets, which include a two hour guided investigation of the George Washington Hotel, are also on sale for only $75.
